1. Who we are
This policy applies to personal data collected by Alphaforge through our website, mobile-responsive web application, and any related services that link to this policy (together, the "Services"). For the purposes of applicable data-protection laws, the data controller is the Alphaforge business entity disclosed in our Terms of Service. If you have questions about how your data is handled, contact privacy@alphaforge.com.
2. What we collect
We collect three categories of information:
Information you give us. When you sign up, complete identity verification, fund your wallet, or contact support, you provide us with information including:
- Account: name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed)
- KYC: government-issued ID, proof of address, date of birth, nationality, residency, source of funds
- Wallet: deposit and withdrawal addresses, transaction history on the platform
- Profile and preferences: trading experience, risk tolerance, communication preferences
- Communications: the content of any messages you send to support and our responses
Information we collect automatically. When you use the Services, we automatically collect:
- Device and browser information (model, OS, browser type, screen size)
- IP address and approximate geolocation derived from it
- Log information (pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps)
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookie Policy)
Information from other sources. Where necessary to verify identity or process payments, we receive information from:
- Identity verification providers (the KYC partner we use)
- The cryptocurrency payment processor that handles deposits and withdrawals
- Public blockchain data (transactions and addresses are public on Tron)
3. Why we use it
We use your personal data only for the purposes set out below, and only where we have a lawful basis to do so (contractual necessity, legal obligation, legitimate interest, or your consent).
- To create and maintain your Alphaforge account
- To verify your identity and meet our anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing obligations
- To process your deposits, withdrawals, and copy-trading connections
- To distribute daily P&L to your account in line with the Master Traders you follow
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security issues
- To provide customer support
- To send service notifications (account-related emails — not marketing)
- To send marketing communications (only with your consent — you can withdraw at any time)
- To improve the Services and develop new features
- To comply with legal, regulatory, and tax obligations
4. How we share
We share your personal data only as described below. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- Our service providers — payment processor, KYC provider, hosting/infrastructure provider, email-sending provider, customer-support tooling. These providers process data on our instructions, under contract, and only for the purposes we specify.
- Within our group — if Alphaforge operates through related entities, your data may be shared between them, all under this same policy.
- For legal reasons — if required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a competent authority, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud or harm.
- In a corporate transaction — if Alphaforge is acquired, merged, or sold, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to a continuation of this policy.
5. International transfers
Alphaforge operates from a single business jurisdiction. Some of our service providers — particularly hosting, KYC, and payment processing — operate globally. Where personal data is transferred outside your country of residence, we rely on safeguards including standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms. Contact us at privacy@alphaforge.com for the specific safeguards used.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a period after closure as required by anti-money-laundering, tax, and accounting laws — typically five to seven years from the date of your last transaction, depending on jurisdiction. Beyond this period, data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Subject to local law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your data, subject to our legal retention obligations
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent (e.g., marketing emails)
- Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your jurisdiction
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@alphaforge.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on the request.
8. Security
We protect personal data with industry-standard security measures: encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging of sensitive actions, and regular review of provider security. No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect your account has been compromised, contact support immediately.
9. Children's data
The Services are not intended for use by anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it.
10. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you by email or by a prominent notice on the platform before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
